Pre-SuSIE Scientific symposium:

"MRI Physics: Advanced Neuroimaging Methods"

Sunday - August 25, 2019, 2:00 pm – 5:30 pm

University Hospital Knappschaftskrankenhaus Bochum  In der Schornau 23-25  44892 Bochum  Germany

Moderators: Harald Kugel & Toni Stöcker

The rapid progress of neuroimaging is driven by the development of MRI hardware, sequences, and image analysis. MRI hardware and sequence development lies on the pillar of MR physics. A basic understanding of MR physics is, thus, pivotal for the application of novel MRI methods in research and on clinical grounds. This scientific symposium is directed to neuroscientists and clinicians. Renowned MR physicists will provide a basic understanding of novel scientific MRI methods including quantitative MRI, MR spectroscopy, Arterial Spin Labeling and Ultra-High Field MRI and explain mechanisms deemed relevant for their application.
